Cadee's Grammar Challenge

Yet another quiz-like quest! This one starts with Cadee (an english teacher) who lives in the first cabin on the right on that long road going north from Tropicton. Here are the questions and their matching answers!!

Question 8: What is the difference between "lay" and "lie"?
Answer: "Lay down" is something you do to something else; "lie down" is something you do yourself.

Question 9: Which is the correct usage:
Answer: I was there once.

Question 10: What is the difference between a colon and a semi-colon?
Answer: A colon is used to bring your attention to whatever follows. A semicolon is a pause before an independent clause.
